Presents Steeped in Shincha: A Tasting of Japan’s First Harvest Tea & 336 Years of Heritage

Join us for a rare and seasonal tea experience! May marks the arrival of shincha—the first harvest of Japanese green tea—celebrated for its freshness, vibrant flavor, and limited availability.
In this intimate gathering, you’ll have the unique opportunity to taste and compare shincha from different regions of Japan, each offering its own distinct character. Paired with light seasonal bites, this guided tasting will take you on a sensory journey through Japan’s newest teas.
Your host, Nami Yamamoto—CEO of Yamamotoyama and the first female leader in its 336-year family history—will personally guide the session. She will share insights into how shincha is crafted, along with the story behind Yamamotoyama’s long-standing heritage as a pioneer of Japanese green tea.
Admission is limited to 20 persons, on a first-come-first served basis.
***Note that cancellations after noon on our cancel-by date (TBD) and no-shows will be charged the full participation fee, as we are committing to the venue on a per-person basis. By registering for this event, you are agreeing to comply with this policy. Your understanding of and compliance with this policy are greatly appreciated!
