How to Join
Before you join our club, please check your status. You need to choose one of the two ways to register with us, depending on your status.
Alumni/Student Login:
“Alumni” are on the list of the Harvard Alumni Association. Alumni and Associate Member are included. You must have your own HarvardKey to join us via Alumni/Student Login.
“Student” is for those who are studying for a degree program at Harvard University.
PLEASE NOTE: Even if you have HarvardKey, that does not mean you are a Harvard Alumni or Student.
Students or alumni in non-degree programs and parttime students are not considered to be “Student” or “Alumni” even though you may hold a HarvardKey. Please double-check your status being "Student" or “Alumni”.
Degree programs are defined by each school of Harvard University. If you are unsure of your academic status, we strongly recommend that you ask your school about your academic status.
Non-Alumni Login/Register:
Please register through Non-Alumni Login/Register if you are current or former students of non-degree Harvard programs including parttime students.
Please ignore the HarvardKey part and directly go to Faculty, Staff, Parents, and Non-Alumni member and Guests – click here and login below.
“Non-Alumni Login/Register” is also for former "fellows" or "visiting scholars" of Harvard University and those who attended Harvard classes in non-degree programs and parttime students.
Questions and Answers:
Q: Does the Harvard Club of Japan charge the dues?
A: No. We do not ask for any dues or monthly fees, etc., either.
Q: Why can’t I register?
A: (1) Please check your status again. Some people misunderstand that having a HarvardKey automatically guarantees their alumni status. That is not the case.
(2) You may see Error at the time of registration because we do not charge the dues. Please contact Club Secretary Yukari Fujita at yukari_fujita@harvard.alumni.edu . It is often the case that you are already on the list at your first try.
