An Evening of English Rakugo With Katsura Sunshine

The Harvard Club of Japan is pleased to present an evening of entertainment by Master of Rakugo Katsura Sunshine, followed by a Q&A session after the show.Check here for a YouTube video! Katsura Sunshine is a traditional Japanese "Rakugo" comic storyteller and the 15th apprentice to the great Rakugo Master, Katsura Bunshi VI.Rakugo is a 400-year tradition of storytelling in Japan, and has been a popular theatrical entertainment alongside Kabuki theatre since the Edo period.Sunshine is only the second non-Japanese in history to become a Master of Rakugo and the first in 100 years.He has performed Rakugo all over the world, and is most notably in his 7th year of performing Rakugo on Broadway.

Participation fee: 8,000 JPY per person, to be paid IN CASH at the door

(Covers event participation and standing buffet, with separate cash bar. Admission to the venue will be permitted only after the participation fee has been paid.)
