Private Viewing at French Jewelry House Gemmyo
The Harvard Club of Japan was invited by the HBS Club of Japan to an evening of networking,
exchange, and inspiration in a relaxed and elegant setting, hosted
at Gemmyo Tokyo Boutique. This special event celebrates Gemmyo’s
entrance into the Japanese market and offers a unique opportunity to
connect with HBS alumni across generations.
The highlight of the evening will feature Pauline Laigneau and Charif
Debs (HBS Class of 2011), cofounders of Gemmyo, a French jewelry
maison founded in Paris in 2011.
With no legacy in the trade, they built a modern maison that
combines a warm, personalized customer experience with an
innovative business model, offering top-quality products, just-in-time
manufacturing, in-house distribution, and a responsible ecological
footprint. Pauline and Charif will share their journey of building a
luxury brand, succeeding in business as a couple, and their
perspectives on how technology can both enable and challenge the
luxury business. This is a perfect opportunity to network with fellow
HBS alumni and exchange ideas in a boutique setting.
