Joint event with members of Cambridge & Oxford Society of Tokyo and Brown University Club of Japan

          

 

 

 

 

 

Join members of the Cambridge & Oxford Society of Tokyo, the Brown University Club of Japan, and fellow alumni for a special summer evening of fine dining and engaging conversation in one of Tokyo’s most storied cultural venues.

 

 

Set amidst the serene gardens of the International House of Japan, established in 1952, is one of Tokyo’s most renowned cultural centers, regularly used for gatherings of people shaping the intellectual, social, and political landscapes in Japan and beyond.  The building was designed by 3 of Japan’s leading architects at the time, replete with a traditional Japanese garden bequeathed by the Iwasaki family (of the Mitsubishi business conglomerate).  

 

 

The Harvard Club of Japan will be co-sponsoring a buffet dinner with the clubs of Oxford, Cambridge, and BrownUniversities for an evening of delicious food and fine conversation. We hope that you can join us.    

 

The buffet meal and dessert will be preceded by pre-dinner drinks. Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be offered.

18:30 – Reception desk opens

18:45 – Drinks served

19:00 – Welcome remarks & buffet dinner begins

20:50 – Closing remarks

21:00 – Event ends

  • Location: The International House of Japan, Kabayama Room

  • Participation fee: 8,000 JPY per person, to be PAID IN ADVANCE via bank transfer to the Harvard Club of Japan designated bank account, which will be shared in the confirmation email to successful registrants.  (Covers event participation, all-you-can-eat buffet dinner, and drinks)

  • Seating Capacity: Max 30 seats available

  • RSVP and Payment Due By: Friday, June 19th, 2025. Please register using the sign-up function below.

Kindly note that seats are limited and will be awarded on first come, first served basis.

Payment is required in advance by June 19th. If you sign up for the event but do not pay by that date, your place(s) will be given to someone from the waiting list. 

 

As this is a buffet, a variety of dishes will be provided, including those that cater to vegetarians or people with specific allergies to certain foods such as shellfish, but we would like to let the kitchen know exactly what other allergies the attendees might have in order to either eliminate those where possible, or at least to mark clearly what allergens the dishes may contain. Therefore, on the "Organization" field of the sign-up sheet below, please list any allergies or dietary preferences that you have so the kitchen can be informed.
