Through this session, Kei Shibata, co-founder & CEO, Venture Republic, MBA 1998, will discuss with him on “Future with Web3.0 & blockchain” along with his story of his entrepreneurial journey, FTX, one of the largest crypto currency exchanges in the world and its young and charismatic founder, Sam Bankman-Fried.

Mike brings extensive experience in Investment, Business, Management, IT and Venture Capital for over 25 years in Japan, the United States and Asia.
Inspired by the innovative and disruptive blockchain technology and cryptocurrency, Mike co-founded Liquid in 2014 (acquired by FTX in April 2022).
Before joining SoftBank, Mike was a Senior Director at Globespan Capital Partners, an independent Venture Capital with over USD1.2B under management, with responsibilities in Japan Investment aswell as Asia business development.
Prior to Globespan, Mike worked at Mitsubishi Corporation’s New Business Initiative Group and
established Natural Lawson as well as the joint venture with Boots to create Boots MC.
Mike graduated from The University of Tokyo and Harvard Business School.
