Pioneer in Community Organizing HKS Professor Marshall Ganz to Speak at Academy Hills

Marshall Ganz, a professor at Harvard Kennedy School who teaches community organizing and was an advisor to President Obama's election campaign in 2008, will visit Japan and give a talk at Roppongi Academy Hills. Ganz will introduce the key concepts of community organizing  for an hour followed by a panel discussion with Prof. Seiichiro Yonekura, Hitotsubashi University, Yoshikazu Shimada, deputy mayor of Kamaishi City, and Kanoko Kamata, an HKS alum who is working to introduce community organizing in Japan to energize Japanese society through grass-roots activities.
