The Harvard Business School Club of Japan (HBSCOJ) proudly announces its Impact Award Winner of the year for 2021 and 2022 as follows:

 

Ms. Lin Kobayashi Co-founder and Chair of the Board, United World College ISAK Japan

 

She led the effort to gain the support from 100 founders and established the International School of Asia Karuizawa (ISAK) as one of the founders. Since its opening in 2014 under the mission to “empower each other to be transformational leaders who explore new frontiers and make positive impact today and the future”, she has served as the Chair of the Board of ISAK, spearheading the effort to realize social impact through education. The school goes into its 10th year in 2023, has become a truly established international school in Japan, and is well-recognized by global young talents. Since 2014, there have been 392 graduates so far, and a total of 615 students from 108 countries have come together to study at the school.

 

We would like to invite you to the Impact Award Ceremony on July 28th, 2023, from 19:00 (JST), inviting Ms. Lin Kobayashi to have speech sessions with Q&A between audiences.

- Biography -

Ms. Lin Kobayashi

 

Lin Kobayashi is the co-founder and Chair of the Board at UWC ISAK Japan. Her passion for education began during her studies at a UWC high school in Canada and continued to develop over the years. Before returning to Tokyo in 2008 to launch the ISAK project, she spent two years working for the UNICEF in the Philippines, where she worked on non-formal education projects for street children. She received her MA in International Education Policy Analysis from Stanford University and BA in Development Economics from the University of Tokyo.
