Join the Harvard community in Japan for a late summer event as we view the English subtitled version of the acclaimed new film ‘August in Tokyo’ (愛の小さな歴史) by one of the most successful young directors in Japan, Ryutaro Nakagawa, who will speak to the audience.

TEDxKeioU speaker 25 year-old Ryutaro Nakagawa is a rising new talent from Japan. ‘August in Tokyo’ is winning acclaim as a powerful drama from various international media including celebrated French magazine Cahiers Du Cinema, Film Business Asia from Hong Kong, and The Sankei Shimbun from Japan. Join us for a private cinema screening of this film in Shibuya followed by remarks by the director (in Japanese with interpreter). The director will sign movie posters for the audience. The theater does not allow refreshments, but audience members are encouraged to eat, drink and socialize in Shibuya after the event.

Admission is 2,000 yen payable in cash at the door. No refreshments can be served or brought in.
