Free lectures by Harvard School of Public Health faculty open to HCJ members

Teikyo School of Public Health will host its third annual January Special Harvard Session in 2014 including public lectures and a reception on January 19 at the Teikyo Itabashi Campus http://www.teikyo-u.ac.jp/access/itabashi.html

 

Two Harvard School of Public Health professors will give short lectures from 15:10-15:50

Estimating the Effect of Air Pollution on Life Expectancy in China

Meta-Analysis:"That Heterogeneity Can Be a Good Thing"
Prof. Nan Laird

These lectures are free of charge but you must reserve a place by e-mailing before January 16th to eyano@med.teikyo-u.ac.jp

There will also be a reception starting around 18:00. The cost of the reception is 5,000 yen payable in cash at the door. If you plan to attend the reception, please reserve by e-mail by January 16th at the same mail address as above.

On the same day there will be two panels aimed at a more technical audience, with speakers from Harvard, Teikyo, University of Tokyo, Chulalongkorn, Harbin Medical University, University of Philippines, and Taipei Medical University, from 13:00-15:00 (Infectious Diseases in Asia and Training Health Professionals) and 16:00-18:00 (Education for Competent Health Professionals Leading Tomorrow's Health Systems).
