Craig White BIO:
Craig is the co-founder and CEO of The Better Table, which owns and operates White Smoke, Japan
s first traditional Texas Smokehouse (Craig is the “Pit Master”). While White Smoke is the first restaurant concept launched by The Better Table in Japan, bringing numerous authentic American cuisine concepts to the patrons of Japan and across Asia is the ultimate goal.
Before venturing into the restaurant industry, Craig worked for a number of leading technology companies in Japan, Korea and the USA as a car powertrain designer, corporate intelligence analyst, market and business development leader and corporate strategist.  Craig received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineer and a Bachelor of Art in Plan II Liberal Arts from the University of Texas at Austin as well as an MBA from Harvard Business School and an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School of Government.  Craig also attended Kanazawa Institute of Technology in Japan
s Ishikawa prefecture and Ewha Womens University in Seoul, South Korea.

Kei Shibata BIO:
Kei co-founded Venture Republic Inc., that runs Japan’s leading online travel search engine, “Travel.jp”, shopping search engine “coneco.net”, hotel review search, “Hotel.jp” and other vertical online media. His sites generate over 16 million monthly visitors and over US$27 million of annual advertising revenue.
Previously, Kei worked at Mitsubishi Corporation. He played a key role in company’s largest M&A deal to acquire the Lawson Inc. He also led the company’s joint e-commerce businesses.
Kei received a BA of
 Laws from Keio University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.He serves as President of Venture Mitakai, the official Keio University’s alumni association for CEOs of venture businesses and is an Executive Committee Member of HBS Club of Japan. He is also a member of Japan Association of Corporate Executives “Keizai Doyukai.”
