HBS professor Yoffie on his recent book “The Business of Platforms: Strategy in the Age of Digital Competition, Innovation, and Power."

The HBS Club of Japan invites you to a Zoom session on Saturday, April 3, between 8:30-10:00 am. JST, featuring the well-known and very popular HBS professor, David Yoffie.  Professor Yoffie will join live from Boston to share research from his recent book “The Business of Platforms: Strategy in the Age of Digital Competition, Innovation, and Power.”  Join the session to find out what has led to the success of GAFA, Twitter, Rakuten, Microsoft, Uber and other giants of the platform world who became household words in such a short time.

Participation in the session is free and open to members of the Harvard community.

This event is designed to promote the HBS Japan Fellowship fund which provides financial assistance to HBS students affiliated with Japan.

Profile of David Yoffie:  David Yoffie is the Max and Doris Starr Professor of International Business Administration at Harvard Business School. He has served as chair of the Strategy Department and Advanced Management Program at HBS and currently chairs Competing in the Age of Digital Platforms, for which he teaches a course, in addition to a popular elective, Strategy and Technology.
