Shop, Cook and Eat at Tsukiji-- Continuing Series
Featuring Spring Red Snapper (“Sakura-Dai”)!
13th Tsukiji event focusing on Spring Red Snapper (“Sakura-Dai”) on March 10 (Saturday)
Harvard Club of Japan Members are invited to join HCJ gourmet Yukinaga Kojima for an event where we will buy, prepare, then eat the fish and produce of Tsukiji, the largest wholesale fish & seafood market in the world.
TIME & DATE: 09:00am SHARP - 14:30 on Saturday, March 10, 2018
PLACE: Meet at Main Gate of Tsukiji Honganji Temple (Tsukiji Stn. Exit 1 on Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line / or zoom in on map below for details):
Participants will gather at 09:00 SHARP on Saturday morning in front of Tsukiji-Honganji Temple, walk to Tsukiji, decide as a group what to buy, then go to one of Kojima- san's favorite fish restaurants in Ginza for preparation into a seasonal Japanese meal.
Part 1, shopping, is expected to last from 09:00 to about 10:30, Part 2, preparation by a cook (NOT by participants), will start from around 11:00, Part 3, eating, will last until around 14:30.
PARTICIPATION FEE: 9,500 yen (includes purchasing and preparation of the meal. Drinks will be charged separately. Sake tasting (“Kiki-Zake”) is optional.). Please pay full amount in cash at the end of the event to the restaurant. Cash only-- no credit card or other form of payment.
