Zen meditation in Kamakura on April 2

Chozenkai Zen Meditation at Engakuji in Kamakura (ongoing series)

The Chozenkai series organized by the Harvard and Brown Clubs is a great opportunity to experience the Zen meditation experience at one of Japan's most storied Zen temples. No previous meditation experience is necessary.

The afternoon begins with an explanation of sitting technique, followed by three meditation sessions of approximately ten to fifteen minutes each. The meditation will be followed by a Q&A conducted in English and Japanese with interpretation. Afterwards, there will be an optional tea session held at Ryuinan, a picturesque tea-house with a breathtaking view of the temple grounds.
Participants are welcome to tour Engakuji before the session.

Date & Time: Sunday, April 2, from 12:20 at Kita-Kamakura station, EAST EXIT (please be punctual)

Participants are welcome to leave anytime after 15:00 but are welcome to stay at Ryuin-an until it closes shortly before 17:00. The train back to Tokyo takes approximately one hour.

Admission: 2,000 Yen (adults) / 1,000 Yen (students & children)
