Saturday visit to Mogi-Honke Museum of Arts in Noda (run by HBS Club of Japan)

Join Us for the Visit to Mogi-Honke Museum of Arts (MOMOA) on June 13

 

HBS Club of Japan and Harvard Club of Japan jointly invite their members to a visit to Mogi-Honke Museum of Arts (MOMOA), the museum owned by Mogi family, one of the founding families of Kikkoman.  Ken Mogi, HBS MBA__ (who recently changed his name from Kenzaburo to Shichizaemon in accordance to the tradition), kindly arranged a special visit for the Harvard Community on Saturday, June 13.  Located in the city of Noda, about 30 km from the Tokyo City Center (Nihombashi) to the northeast (approx. 1 hour train ride from Tokyo Station), it would be a nice day trip for the family and friends. 

 

Date:  Saturday, June 13

12:15     Meet in the lobby of MOMOA

12:30    Lunch at Museum Cafe

13:30     Guided Tour

l  Special Exhibition of Sumo-e (「相撲絵-昔も人気今も人気の大相撲」展 )

l  Ordinary Exhibition

Guided tour takes about 1-1.5 hours and you can return to Tokyo by late afternoon.  Alternatively you can stay in the museum or explore Noda City.

Cost:  Y2,000 per person (Y700 admission fees and Y1,300 for lunch which consists of Soba and Tenmusu)
