A talk by Nestle Japan President Kohzoh Takaoka at the Meiji University Global Leadership Forum

The Harvard Club of Japan and Meiji University are pleased to present a a talk in English by Kohzoh Takaoka, President of Nestle Japan, on “Nestle Global Business and Localization” on June 23 at 7 pm at Meiji University’s Surugadai Campus in Tokyo.

 

Mr. Takaoka is a 30 year veteran of Nestle Japan, starting his career in marketing with various beverage brands including Nescafe before joining their confectionery division, where he became division president in 2005. It is in this division that he turned the Kit Kat brand into the leading candy bar in Japan by making it into the lucky charm for students taking entrance exams and by coming up with limited edition and local flavors like green tea, soy sauce and wasabi, turning the brand into one of the top souvenirs for domestic travelers. He became the Representative Director, President and CEO of Nestle Japan Ltd., in 2010 and is a graduate of Kobe University.

 

Those who are interested may join a dinner after the talk, to be held from 20:30 - 22:00 at a nearby restaurant. The cost will be Y3,500 for a buffet including drinks.

As space at the dinner is limited, please let us know in advance if you are interested in attending the dinner as well.
